Gloria June (Glenn) Schank

Gloria June Schank, 76, passed away on April 3, 2023. She was born in Cannelton, on May 6, 1946, the daughter of the late William “Pooner” and Clara (Bolin) Glenn.

She was a 1964 graduate of Cannelton High School. After graduating she attended Beauty School and became the owner and operator of the Coiffure of Beauty in Cannelton, IN. She worked there for over 40 years gaining lifelong friendships. She was united in marriage to Paul Schank on March 27, 1993. Together they shared 30 wonderful years together.

June was a member of the Methodist Church in Cannelton. She loved the Cincinnati REDS and traveling to their games. June loved to sing her favorite songs by Elvis and Neil Diamond, she enjoyed square dancing and when she was able she used to do so weekly with her family. She enjoyed cooking big meals and she never had a get together without a few special desserts for her grand kids. June loved to exercise and go for walks. She was a collector of angels and had many dogs over the years which were all her little babies. June loved her family with her whole being and was always available to help any one of them in their time of need.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Schank; her children, Stephanie (Greg) Neal, Eric (Sarah) Reynolds, Toni Kraus, Vickie (Carl) Sommer, Terri (Preston) Haynes, Darin Zogopoulos, Scott (Alyson) Schank, and Traci (Jeff) Simpson; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her brothers, Gary and Greg Glenn.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, April 7, 2023, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Pastor Ann Skiba officiating. Burial will follow in New Cliff Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2pm to 7pm on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home and from 9:00am to service time on Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Methodist Church in Cannelton or the Alzheimer's Association.

A special thanks to the staff at Brickyard Healthcare - Lincoln Hills Care Center in Tell City. June was their family, and they went above and beyond to make her happy and keep her comfortable from the day she walked through their doors until the day God called her home.
