Hazel L. Wallace, 81, passed away Monday, July 27, 2020 at Oakwood Health Campus.
She was born December 1, 1938 in Perry County to the late Ernest and Emma (Naviaux) Rogier. She was a graduate of the Oil Township School and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was united in marriage on January 15, 1965 to the Eugene Wallace who preceded her in death on May 23, 2000.
Hazel was a cook at many local places including the Alpine and Buehlers Buy-Low.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening and taking care of children.
Surviving are her children, James (Michelle Rae) Wallace of Leopold, IN, Joe “Termite” (Valorie) Wallace of Leopold, IN, Loyd (Audrey) Wallace of Indianapolis, IN, Ernie (Michelle Lynn) Wallace of Tell City, Mona (Joe) Deom of Gatchel, IN; sisters, Olive Sabelhaus of Tell City, , Freida Kessens of Cannelton, IN and Rita (Donnie) Kessens, of Tell City, IN; grandchildren, Elmer, Samantha, Kevin, Jolene, MaKayla, Lucas, Ty, Paige, Tyler, Elly, Jackson, Gavin and Megan; great grandchildren, Aubrey, Amelia, Levi, Bryar, Jessup and Josie.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by sons, Allen, and Joseph, a brother, Clarence Rogier, sisters, Ann Miller and Edith Huebschman.
Funeral services will be at 10AM CST on Friday, July 31, 2020 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Fr. Luke Wagh officiating. Burial will be in St Isidore Catholic Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8pm and Friday 8:30-to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Oakwood Activity Fund.
