Heather J. Glenn, 47, passed away on July 3, 2023, in the line of duty.
Heather was born on June 9, 1976, in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Bob and Jayne (Claise) Glenn. She was a 1994 graduate of Tell City High School. Heather obtained her Criminal Justice Degree from Vincennes University and also graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
Heather was a Sergeant with the Tell City Police Department, following in her father's footsteps. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Whether in a uniform or not, Heather was always helping out in her community. She was everything a good police officer should be and treated each person with dignity and respect no matter the situation.
She loved her rescue pets and her favorite Nephew Trace more than anything. When she was not out protecting and serving her community you could find Heather mowing grass, kayaking, shopping for a new pair of shoes, or attending live concerts.
Heather enjoyed her firearms and her collection of vehicles.
Survivors include her parents, Bob and Jayne Glenn; her brother, Jason Glenn (Brooke); and her favorite nephew, Trace Glenn.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, July 10, 2023, at the Tell City High School Auditorium, with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Tell City, IN.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Sunday, July 9, 2023, and from 9:00 am until service time on Monday, July 10, 2023, at the Tell City Auxiliary Gym.
