John "Jack" J Hoesli, 77, of Tell City, passed away on June 2, 2022 at his home.
Jack was born in Tell City on November 19, 1944 to the late Clarence and Marie (Kluesner) Hoesli. He was united in marriage on January 25, 1969 to Patty Hobbs. He is retired from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and was a former board member of the First National Bank of Cannelton. He owed J&S Diesel and co-owned Warrick County Coal and Warrick Minerals. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, drinking coffee with the McDonald's crew, watching Gunsmoke, FOX news and woodworking projects.
Jack is survived by his wife of 53 years Patty, brothers, Larry and Mike, sisters, Linda Parks, June Kress, Mary Anderson and Vicki Moss, his children, Jonathan (Prudence) Hoesli of Evansville, Holli (Bart) Peter of Tell City, Andy (Leanna) of Tell City, and 10 grandchildren, Baylie, Camryn, Noah, Emerson, Addison, Tanner, Ellerie, Cooper, Carter and Keller.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob, Ted, Jim, Jerry, Patrick and Steve and his sisters, Maylyn and Diane.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 6, 2022 at St. Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Hollowell officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 5 from 2:00 to 7:00p.m. and Mon from 9:00 to 10:30am at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City.
