Jackie Lee “Jack” Scott, 70, of Cannelton, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway.
He was born in Perry County, on August 9, 1954, to Forrest Oscar and Edith Pearl (Sanders) Scott.
Jack was united in marriage to Sherry Krutz on September 6, 1975. He had worked for Fischer's Chair Company and was currently employed at FarBest Foods in Huntingburg, where he had been for nearly 40 years. Jack loved landscaping, watching TV, gardening, all creatures in nature, especially his dogs and cats throughout the years. He will always be remembered for his loving smile and his big heart.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Sherry Scott; mother, Edith Scott; sister, Linda Scott; nephews, Steve and Greg Marchand; nieces Lezlie and Lauren Hohl; great nephews, Hunter Marchand and Liam Hohl; great nieces, Claire Marchand and Londyn Hohl.
Jack was preceded in death by his father, Forrest Scott; brother, Mike Scott; grandfathers, Dee Madison Sanders and Oscar Charles Scott; grandmothers, Minerva Bell (Smith) Sanders and Anna Marie (Kellems) Scott.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Monday, December 30, 2024, at St. Paul Catholic Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Fr. Tony Hollowell will officiate.
Visitation will be from 12:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, December 29, 2024, and from 8:30am to 9:30 am on Monday at the funeral home.
