Jerry Lechner Obituary

Jerry Allen Lechner, 73, of Tell City, Indiana, passed away at his home on April 16, 2026.

Born on May 6, 1952, in Tell City, Jerry was the son of the late Alton and Hazel (Simpson) Lechner.

On February 12, 1972, he married the love of his life, Mildred “Mid” Lechner. The two shared 52 wonderful years together before her passing in 2023. Jerry dedicated many years of his career working as an accountant with Ken Schaaf CPS Group, LLC, and later retired from Grandview Aluminum.

Jerry found his greatest joy in his family. He cherished every moment spent with them and took immense pride in their lives and accomplishments, often sharing stories about them with others. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, watching baseball, and listening to bluegrass and gospel music.

He is survived by his children, Missy (Ricky) Eickhoff of Evansville and Christopher (Mary) Lechner of Tell City; his siblings, Betty (Ron) Northerner of Evansville and Dennis (Lois) Lechner of Milford, Ohio; his grandchildren, Camden, Ashley, Tesa, Cierra, Ricky, Karlee, James, Orron, and Brantley; and six great-grandchildren.
