Jessieca LaDawn “Pep” Toney, 48, passed away at her home on May 24, 2026, in Bristow, Indiana.
Born in Orange County, Indiana, on June 3, 1977, Pep was the daughter of Kathy (Toney) Elverd. From an early age, she carried a unique spirit and gentle soul that left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
Pep was a 1995 graduate of Springs Valley High School. Throughout her life, she found joy in the simple things that made her happiest. She loved spending time fishing, riding motorcycles, listening to music, and surrounding herself with the things that reflected her imaginative personality. Pep especially enjoyed animated cartoons, with SpongeBob SquarePants and the Minions being among her favorites. She also had a special love for animals, dragons, and all things mystical.
Though she was naturally quiet and preferred smaller circles and peaceful surroundings, Pep cared deeply for others. She had a tender heart, a kind spirit, and a way of showing love in her own quiet manner. Those closest to her knew her as someone who was thoughtful, genuine, and deeply compassionate. Her caring nature will be greatly missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Pep is survived by her mother and stepfather, Kathy and Billy Elverd of Bristow; her stepsisters, Shalana (Ryan) Burgan of French Lick and Amanda (Thomas) Bough of Bristow; along with extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
A private burial will take place at Bristow Cemetery.
