John Kaufman, Jr.

John Michael Kaufman, Jr., 54, passed away on January 26, 2025.

He was born on February 3, 1970, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Huntingburg, IN, son of John Michael and Ruth Jean (Aders) Kaufman Sr.

John was a graduate of Tell City High School. He worked at Jasper Chair Company. John enjoyed working on old cars and listening to country music.

In addition to his father, John is survived by his daughter, Jahnessa Kaufman of Tell City; his siblings, Beth Amburgy of Cannelton, Steve Kaufman of Gentryville, Carey Kaufman of Tell City, Jeremy Kaufman of Madison, Felissa Kaufman of Sulfur, Bonnie Harrison of Tell City, and Scott Kaufman of Tell City; along with several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Jean Kaufman.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Fr. Steve Donahue officiating. Burial will take place in St. Martin Cemetery in Siberia at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 12pm to 2pm on Friday at the funeral home.
