John VanHoosier Obituary
John Maurice VanHoosier, 89, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2014 at his home.
He was born April 27, 1925 to the late Riley and Rosa (Aders) VanHoosier.
John was united in marriage on October 15, 1949 to Leona Aders. He was a member of Oak Ridge Pentecostal Church and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his children, Alice (Greg) Bauer, Daniel VanHoosier, and Sue (Gary) Genet all of Bristow; a sister, Fronie VanWinkle of Tell City; grandchildren, Rick and Chris Genet, Leanna Genet, Rachel James, Cassie Hill and Nathan Bauer; great grandchildren, Dylan and Brianna Parr, Heaven, Ethan and Allie Bauer, Trevor and Taylor Hill, Jordan, Braxton and Brandi Genet; great-great grandchildren, Chase and Chad Foerster and Carlee Parr.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Leona; siblings, Elle Belle Sturgeon, Dolly Mayberry, Lucille Huff, Maude VanWinkle, Floyd, Charles, Everett, Joe and Claude VanHoosier.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM CST Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Pastor David Hayes will officiate. Burial will follow in Bristow City Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00-8:00 PM and Sunday from 11:00AM until service time at the funeral home.
