Johnny J. Hempfling Jr.

Johnny J. Hempfling Jr., 75, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022, at his home in Tell City, IN.

Born on February 26, 1947 in Tell City, Indiana, he was the son of the late John Hempfling and Flora (Bolton) Howe. Johnny worked in carpentry and enjoyed going to the bar to have a beer and talk with his friends. He loved his family and will be remembered for his kind heart.

Survivors include his daughter, Tracy Reinke; siblings, Patricia (Kenny) Miller, Carolyn (Jim) Baugh, Linda (Steve) Albin, Bonnie (David) Schnerr, Jerry (Martha) Hempfling, Larry Hempfling, Shirley (Mark) Robbins, and Diane (Steve) Litkenhus; grandsons, Brandon and Colby Reinke; sister-in-law, Regina Hempfling; and his cat Spirit.

In addition to his parents Johnny is preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Hempfling.

Visitation will be on Tuesday October 25, 2022 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
