Joseph Hermann, Jr.

Joseph B. Hermann Jr., 78, passed away June 28, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, IN.

Born July 26, 1945, in Tell City, IN, he was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Glidden) Hermann Sr.

Joe was united in marriage to Gwen Pekinpaugh on June 17, 1972.

He was a sales representative for Kight Lumber for several years and retired from Quality Cleaning Solutions after many years of service. Joe was a past Cannelton City Councilman and a member of the Perry County Development Corporation. He liked watching all IU sports and enjoyed his time spent with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Gwen Hermann; daughter, Anita Raines of Paoli; son, Kevin Hermann (Tiffany) of Tell City; sister, Sharle Sutcliffe (Terry); brothers, Tom Hermann and Chris Hermann; grandchildren, Allyson, Jaymonn, Trey, Drake, Patience and Creed; and one great-grandson, Bryson.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brothers, Kim, Bobby and David.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lilly Dale Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, July 1, 2023, and from 8:30 am to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
