Joyce Bolin

Joyce Lee Bolin, 73, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, August 18, 2024.

She was born on February 21, 1951, in Fayetteville, NC, to Richard F. and Mary G. (Mullen) Schroeder.

Joyce was a 1969 graduate of Tell City High School. She was married on May 20, 1972, to David Bolin. They shared 36 years together before his passing in 2008. Joyce was a devoted homemaker and worked at Cash Savers Grocery for several year where she fried some of the best chicken around.

She was an avid UK basketball fan, who never missed a game. Joyce enjoyed hosting cookouts, get togethers, and pool parties. Her favorite past time was horseshoe tourneys and watching tennis. She had a deep love for her pets. Joyce was a proud mother to her two sons and was a wonderful grandma to her two granddaughters, that were her pride and joy. She was loved by all and will be missed dearly.

Surviving are her sons, Chris Bolin and Todd Bolin and his wife, Erica, of Santa Claus; brothers, Wayne Schroeder (Elizabeth) of Owensboro and Bill Schroeder (JoAnn) of Tell City; and granddaughters, Morgan and Macey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dave and a sister, Mary Elizabeth in infancy.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. On Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City, with burial in Troy Cemetery, with Jack Masterson officiating.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
