Joyce Richardt

Joyce Richardt, 79, passed away October 2, 2025, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.
 

She was born in Tell City on May 25, 1946, to the late Luke and Cordelia (Feix) Parker.
 

Joyce was united in marriage to Ambrose "Bud" D. Richardt on June 15, 1968. They shared 48 years before his passing in 2017.
 

Joyce was employed at Swiss Plywood for over 30 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, doing embroidery, and taking trips with the Council on Aging. Joyce also enjoyed caring for her neighbors, helping with fundraisers, and delivering meals to the other residents in her apartment complex.
 

Surviving is her sons, Steve (Pam) Richardt and Anthony “Tony” Richardt, both of Tell City; her twin sister, Loyce (Richard) Gries of Dale; sisters-in-law, Jane and Donna Parker; aunt, Vi Parker; Joyce was blessed with eight grandchildren, Stephen, Brian, Jeffrey, Jonathan, Alex, Emily, Ambrose Richardt, and Rebecca Hubert; and twelve great-grandchildren, Trinidy, Braxton, Hope, Faith, Gabriel, Jalie, Liam, Allie, Alivia, Xavier, Timothy, and Ariel.
 

In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, Ralph, Larry, and Charles Parker.
 

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Troy City Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
