Juanita M. Harpenau, 75, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
She was born September 27, 1947, in Evansville, to the late James Waterbury and Bernice (Kuntz) Carter. She was united in marriage to Gerald “Jerry” Harpenau on September 21, 1968.
Juanita was a 1965 graduate of Tell City High School. She worked production in the warehouse at Saint Meinrad Archabbey. She enjoyed horseback riding, spending time with her grandchildren, and getting together with family to play games.
Surviving is her husband, Jerry Harpenau; her children, Lisa (John) Wade and Kevin (Ginger) Harpenau; siblings, Mike Waterbury, David Zuelly, Gary (Mary Kaye) Zuelly, and Tammy (Jeff) Hahus; grandchildren, Alexa Martin, Koert Morris, Spencer and Shelby Harpenau, Breeanna Persinger; step-grandchildren, Tyler Simpson, Lindsey Wade, and Tori Whittaker; and step-great-grandchildren, Liam and Quinn Whittaker.
In addition to her parents Juanita is preceded in death by her siblings, Jerry Kuntz, Kathy Boling, and John Zuelly.
Services will be at 10am Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Fr. Steve Donahue officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Tell City.
Visitation will be from 2pm to 7pm on Friday, March 3, 2023, and from 8am until service time on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the funeral home.
