Judith M. Akers

Judith M. Akers, 67, passed away on Thursday September 8, 2022, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.

Judy was born in Taswell, Indiana on April 7, 1955, to James and Gwendolyn (Pollard) Esarey.

Judy worked in Home Health Care. She enjoyed reading and having cookouts with her family.

Surviving are her children, Stephanie Esarey of Corydon, Stacey Akers of Palmyra, and James (Amanda) McCowan of New Albany; siblings, Paul Esarey of Georgetown, IN, Rita Seelye of Elizabeth, IN, and Betty Griffin of Pekin, IN; grandchildren, Justice (Danielle), Haley, Stephen, Starlee, Emma, and Mikah; and one great-grandchild, Jaxon.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and her brothers, Ralph & Marcus Esarey.

Services will be at 6:00pm Sunday September 11, 2022, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.

Visitation will from 11:00am until service time on Sunday.

Burial will be in Walker Cemetery in Branchville, IN.
