Karen Pate

Karen Pate, 69, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, IN.

She was born in Staten Island, NY, on June 21, 1956, to the late Floyd Miller Sr. and Patricia (Shourds) Hirch.

On April 21, 1972, Karen married Roger Pate. They shared 25 wonderful years together before his passing in 1998. Karen enjoyed mud bogging, hiking, fishing, and camping, and she especially cherished the time spent with her family.

She is survived by her son, Robert Pate of Chrisney; daughter, Karen (Scott) Harrison of Cannelton; grandchildren, Justin (Lisa) Kellems, Desiree (Andrew) Hoger, and Shelly Pate; and great grandchildren, Dakota, Micheal, Jacob, Gracie, and Willard Kellems, and Jackson and Nevaeh Leffler.

In addition to her parents and husband, Karen was preceded in death by her son, Roger Pate II and her siblings, Floyd Miller II and Kenneth Reel.

A private graveside service will be held at New Hope Cemetery in Newtonville.
