Kenneth E. Olberding

Kenneth E. Olberding, 66, passed away Sunday August 28, 2022, at his home.

Born February 8, 1956, in Tell City, Indiana, the son of the late Albert Olberding and Brenda (Orander) Boone. He was united in marriage to Kathy Applegate on August 26, 1978. Kenneth was an E5 Sergeant in the National Guard for 8 years and also worked at Corn Island Shipyard. He enjoyed the time spent with his family, his other hobbies included hunting, fishing, NASCAR, drag racing, and making sure the grass was always mowed properly.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years Kathy Olberding; his daughters, Christy (Troy) McCoy and Robin Olberding, both of Tell City; siblings, Kathy McManaway, James Olberding and Rebecca (Ron) Carman, all of Tell City; grandchildren, Bethany, Bailey, Brentley, Breanna, and Devon; 1 great grandchild, Stormie.

In addition to his parents and his stepfather Clyde, he is preceded in death by a brother Joseph Olberding, and a sister, Mary Mason.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Adkins officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm Wednesday August 31, at the funeral home and on Thursday from 9:00am to 11:00am prior to the service.
