Kevin Tate

Kevin W. Tate, 59, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

He was born on December 17, 1966, in Tell City, Indiana, the son of the late Mabel (Mills) Askins and Donald Tate.

Kevin was a 1984 graduate of Tell City High School. Throughout his life, he worked in a variety of roles, including positions at General Electric, AK Steel, Minto’s Market, T&R Liquors, Bass & More, and Big Tails. A true outdoorsman, Kevin found joy in fishing, farming, and lending a helping hand to his neighbors and family whenever he could.

He is survived by his daughters, Amber Tate and Courtney Tate; his siblings, Greg (Lisa) Tate, Michelle (Mark) Blunk, Duane Hosler, Danny (Stacy) Hosler, and Denise (Aaron) Brown; and his three grandchildren, Mason Foster, Gabrielle Dauby, and Lincoln Dauby.

In addition to his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by his daughter, Kassandra Tate.

Services were private. The family plans to celebrate Kevin’s life at a later date.
