Larry L. “Heavy” Bernardi, 68, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021.
He was born February 17, 1952 in Tell City, the son of the late Donald and Eufala Cantner Bernardi.
He married Marsha Simpson on October 31, 1980. He was retired as a maintenance supervisor with Consolidated Recycling and had served as the Troy Town Marshal.
Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, being with family and was a member of the Perry County Bassmasters.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha, daughters, Michele Davis of Troy, IN, Crystal (John) Hubert of Boonville, IN; a son Wesley (Crystal) Bernardi of Hawesville, KY; sisters, Becky (Kevin) Sims of Evansville, IN, Jennie Strong of Tell City, IN, Donna Rae of Cincinnati, OH; a brother, John Nipper (Kay) Bernardi of Bristow, IN, grandchildren, Cassidy, Kendra, Corey, Kaitlynn, Alivia, Lily and 3 great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death is his parents, sisters, Hollie Springston, Carol Whitfield and a brother Mike Bernardi.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Thursday January 21, 2021 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday and from 8:00 am to Service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
