Larry Goffinet

William “Larry” Goffinet, 81, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at his home in Cannelton, IN.

He was born in Perry County, on January 21,1944, the son of Bill and Marcella (Sweeney) Yaggi.

Larry was united in marriage to Sharla Brumfield on January 8, 1978. He was well known as the “Ice Man” running the Party Ice Distribution Co for many, many years. He was a member of the Army National Guard, the VFW, and St. Paul Catholic Church. Larry enjoyed spending time with his grand and great-grandchildren, playing cards, and watching IU basketball.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Sharla Goffinet; his children, Alan Goffinet and Raquel (Brian) Robbins both of Tell City; sisters, Debbie Kleeman of Tell City and Susan Marsh of Michigan City, IN; brother, Robert Nelson of IL; four grandchildren, Savannah Goffinet, Chris Goffinet (Madison), Sydney Robbins, and Jade Robbins; six great-grandchildren, Hendrix Davis, Kohlsin Goffinet, Aylah Simpson, Baylor Goffinet, Navee Goffinet, and Zane Goffinet.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Nelson.

Per Larry's request no services will be held. Burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery.
