Leroy VanWinkle Obituary

Leroy VanWinkle, 98, passed away Thursday June 3, 2021 at Oakwood Health Campus.

 

He was born on April 5, 1923 to the late Samuel and Anna (Witte) VanWinkle. He married the love of his life, Fronie Viola VanHoosier on September 30, 1950 at St. John's Lutheran Church in New Boston, IN. He retired from Dolly Madison in 1985 and was WW II veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945.

 

Surviving is his wife, Fronie of Tell City, IN, children, Stephen (Debra) VanWinkle of St. Meinrad, IN, Charlotte (Charley) Mundel of Tell City, IN, Linda (Kirt) Muth of Bristow, IN; grandchildren, Michelle LeClere, Melissa (Scott) Collins, Shawn (Ann) LeClere, Amy (Dean) VanWinkle, Vincent (Erin) Van Winkle, Sara (Zach) Zuelly, Andrew Muth, Aidan Muth, great grandchildren, Emma & Luke LeClere, Avery & Chloe VanHoosier, Tyler Butler and Madison & Caleb VanWinkle.

 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a his siblings, Edward VanWinkle, Mabel Reutman, Elsie Kirk and a grand daughter Beth Ann VanWinkle.

 

Services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday June 5, 2021, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Bro. Al Madden officiating. Burial in Bristow City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00am to service time Saturday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.

Memorial Donations may be made to Bristow City Cemetery or Bristow Christian Church.
