Linda M. Osborne

Linda Mae Osborne, 85, of Tell City, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2026, at The Timbers of Jasper.

She was born on October 31, 1940, in Attleboro, Massachusetts, to Francis and Ruth (Braham) Foss. Linda was united in marriage to Fredrick Osborne in June of 1958. Together, they shared 54 loving years of marriage before his passing in 2013.

Linda was a devoted foster parent for many years, opening her heart and home to countless children in need. She retired in 2014, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, care, and unconditional love. To Linda, every child—biological or foster—was simply her child, and she cherished each one deeply.

She found great joy in visiting the ocean and made it a point to experience its beauty whenever she could, often traveling at least once a year. At home, Linda loved spending time relaxing in her swings—both indoors and outdoors—enjoying the peace and comfort of nature.

Linda is survived by her children, Chris (Julia) Osborne, Keith (Becky) Osborne, and Sherri Osborne; her grandchildren, Tonya, Chris, Mary Rose, Keith Jr., Nicole, Kyle, Cody, Zach, Tyler, Tashia, Logan, Reggie, and Destany; and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra Watters; nieces and nephews, Philip, Stanley, David, Carolyn, Christine, and Mickey; and foster child, Stacey (Robert) Jewel, along with countless other children she was blessed to love and care for over the years.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Fredrick, Linda was preceded in death by her sons, Fredrick Osborne, Jr. and Bennie Osborne, brothers, Edward Foss, David Foss, a grandson, Nick Osborne, and  sister-in-law,  Geniva Arnold.

Per Linda’s wishes, there will be no services.
