Lois Braun Obituary

Lois (Risse) Braun, 79, passed away January 15, 2013 at 7:15A.M. at Oakwood Health Campus.

Lois was born March 19, 1933 in Troy, IN to Charles an Ethel (Parr) Risse.

She was married on July 6, 1957 to David Braun. Lois had worked at General Electric, Perry County Memorial Hospital where she served an EMT and was general manager of Diamond Lanes Bowling Center in Tell City. Lois was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, pitching horseshoes and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, James Wolf; daughter, Debbie Dickman; brothers, Larry and Gene Risse and sisters, Mary Poole and Charlotte O’Brien.

Surviving is her husband of 55 years, David W. Braun, Sr of Tell City; children, Doug (Sheila) Wolf, David Jr. (Debbie) Braun and Darla Hempfling all of Tell City; sisters, Joan Eiden of Dallas, TX and Maxine Cotton of Evanston, IN; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 18, 2013 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Father Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00-8:00 P.M. and Friday 9:00 A.M. until service time at funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
