Louis E. Kuntz, 88, of Tell City, Indiana, passed away on September 20, 2023, at Scenic Hills in Ferdinand, IN.
He was born on March 2, 1935, in Troy, IN, the son of Albert A. and Frances (Gramelspacher) Kuntz.
Louis graduated from Tell City High School in 1953, and then joined the United States Army. He later went on to obtain his bachelor's degree from Indiana State University.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 213 and the Tell City Moose Lodge 1424. Louis worked in maintenance at Can-Tex in Cannelton and retired from Commonwealth Industries in Kentucky. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and watching the Indiana Hoosiers and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Survivors include his son, Tim (Janet) Kuntz, of Osgood, IN; his daughters, Lori (Chris) Glenn of Santa Claus and Kelly Brown of Tell City; 3 grandchildren, Jason Kuntz, Miranda Terrill, and Sydney Brown; and 2 great-grandchildren, Brett and Will Kuntz.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his siblings, Ella Mae Mann, Alberta Harpe, Leona Gorman, Bernice Carter, Charlie Kuntz, Verna “Vernie” Fugit and Clara “Susie” Harris.
Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Fr. Kolbe Wolniakowski officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Tell City.
Visitation will be from 2pm to 7pm on Friday, September 22, 2023, and 8:30am until service time on Saturday, at the funeral home.
