Lynn Jamerson Obituary

Lynn E. Jamerson, 65, passed away August 12, 2021 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.

 

She was born June 3, 1956 to the late Eugene and Iris Reed Stein. She graduated in 1974 from Castle High School and in in 1978 from Valparaiso University.

 

Lynn had a servant heart. She was an advocate for adults with disabilities, and worked for several years at SIRS. She later owned and operated Windmill Liquors and Lynn's Place in Holland until her retirement. No one could make a pizza or stromboli like Lynn.

 

Lynn was also active in her church, St. John's Lutheran in Evanston, IN. She served on the church's Sonshine Day Care Center Board, taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and participated in Lutheran Women's Missionary League activities.

 

Lynn was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and cross-stitched each of them a personalized baby quilt.

 

She is survived by her husband, Gary; two sisters, Lisa (Ron) Fenech, Karen Smith; a brother Dirk (Roxanna) Stein; 7 nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

 

Funeral Services will be at 10 am Monday August 16, 2021 at St. John's Lutheran Church with burial in Church Cemetery. Pastor Rodney Schmeltz will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home and from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to Sonshine Day Care Center.
