Mace Sutherland, Jr.

Mace Sutherland Jr., 58, of Santa Claus, passed away on Thursday June 27, 2024, at his home.

He was born in Hudson, MI, on January 10, 1966, son of the late Mace and Sandra (Rumsey) Sutherland, Sr.

Mace was united in marriage to Staci Hassenzahl on September 16, 1987. He was a bricklayer with the BAC Local 4. Mace enjoyed golfing, mushroom hunting, go cart riding, and loved being a kid with his grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Staci Sutherland; 3 daughters, Amber (Brock) Schwindt of Winslow, IN, Alisha (Terry) Morson of Santa Claus, and Alexandria (Knowah) Sutherland of Tell City; siblings, Brenda (Bill) Grime, Anthony (Denise) Sutherland, Butch (Barbara) Sutherland, Sandra (Robert) Bell, Patty (Kevin) Lockhart, Betty (Cecil) Dubuisson, and Christopher (Tiffany) Sutherland; brother-in-law, Orlin Swimmer; and five grandchildren, Kameron, Koraline, Sway, Willow, and Shane.

In addition to his parents Mace was preceded in death by his sister, Carlette Swimmer.

Per the family's request there will be no services.
