Margaret was a long-time member of Evangelical United Church of Christ where she served on the church council and as council president. She was a 4-H leader for several years. Later in life, she was a member of the Red Hats where she enjoyed meeting with friends over lunch. She loved being with friends and family, playing cards, reading, and traveling in the US, Europe, and Australia.

She is survived by her sister, Anna Marie Meyer; daughters, Kim Loseff (Steve) of Cincinnati, OH; Kris Michuda (Joe) of Frankfort, IL; and son, Jeff Fischer (Mariann) of Indianapolis IN; along with grandchildren, Kendall and Kyle Loseff, Nic, Jay, and Jacqui Michuda, Sophie and Lily Fischer; and nieces, Melanie Freyberger and Karen Knust.
