Martha Dawson

Martha Kaye Dawson, 75, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, September 6, 2024.

Martha was born on January 30, 1949, in Troy, IN, daughter of the late Paul & Emma (Knable) Mullen.

Martha was united in marriage to Chester Dawson on May 21, 1989. Martha loved being with her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family, along with fishing, camping, boating, and pitching horseshoes.

Martha is survived by her husband of 35 years, Chester Dawson; daughters, Roberta Scharferberger of Greenville, KY, Victoria Tolley of Petersburg, and Christina Davis of Jasper; son, Kenny Friedal of St. Anthony; stepson, Jeremy (Kerstie) Dawson of Tell City; stepdaughter, Jennifer (Carolyn) Dawson of Jasper; siblings, Sue Everly, Denny Mullen, Jack Mullen, and Debbie Locke; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Martha was preceded in death by her son Matt Friedel, siblings, Sonny, Mary Ann, Helen, Michael, Janie and a nephew.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024, at 7:00pm at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 2:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday at the funeral home.
