Michael Deom

Michael Deom, 68, of Gatchel, passed away April 10, 2025, at UofL Jewish Heart Hospital.

He was born June 11, 1956, to Frederick & Mary Emily (Sandage) Deom. Mike was a self-employed logger. He owned and operated Mike Deom Professional Logging until his retirement. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and the planting of his zinnia flowers.

Mike is survived by his siblings, Susan Stiles (Ralph) of Tell City, Irma Peter (Charley) of Anchorage, AK, Joe Deom (Mona) of Tell City, and Jake Deom of Evansville; along with several nieces and nephews, including his caregivers, Elmer Deom and Samantha Deom; and his great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Mike was preceded in death by his sisters, Roberta “Bobby” Deom, and Janice Scales.
 

Funeral Services will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, with private burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, in Bristow.

Visitation will be from 2:00pm – 7:00p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
