Michael "Curt" Jarboe

Michael “Curt” Jarboe, 70, of Derby, passed away on November 29, 2024.

Curt was born on February 21, 1954, in Tell City, IN, the son of Henry “Curt” and Delores (Cassidy) Jarboe, who precede him in death.

He was a 1972 graduate of Tell City High School. Curt was united in marriage to Kathleen Briggeman on April 19, 1980. He had worked at Tell City Chair Company and later retired in 2007 from Mulzer Crushed Stone, after 30 years of service.

Curt was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. He loved his family especially his grandkids and the time they shared together. Curt enjoyed IU basketball, the St. Louis Cardinals, NASCAR and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathleen Jarboe; children, Amber Bockhold (Clint) of Derby, Jenna Simon (Michael) of Derby, Katie Gelarden (Ryan) of Tell City, Michael Jarboe (Brianna) of Apalona, and Shannon Etienne (Glenn) of Leopold; siblings, Cathy Hammack of Tell City, Dale Jarboe of Rockport, and Jeff Jarboe of Tell City; along with his 11 grandchildren, Morgan, Mia, Macy, Gunner, Dax, Klyne, Isla, Ada, Rhett, Braeden, Jaelyn, and another arriving in January.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Fr. Luke Waugh officiating. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Catholic Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday, December 2, 2024, and from 8:30 until 9:15 AM on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
