Michael W. Kahler, 71, of Tell City, IN, passed away on Monday February 12, 2024, at Heart-to-Heart Hospice of Evansville.
He was born in Tell City on Valentine's Day in 1952, to William and Margaret (Malone) Kahler.
Mike was united in marriage to Connie Sumner on November 27, 1971. Mike worked as a crane operator for JBB Bennett Construction. He enjoyed going to shooting matches, hunting, boating and camping.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Connie Kahler of Tell City; daughter, Kristy Sodrel (Sonny) of Rome; son, Shawn Kahler (Courtney) of Tell City; five grandchildren, Kailee Sodrel, Hunter Sodrel (Danielle), Bayden Kahler, Teagan Kahler, and Kannon Kahler; great granddaughter, Wrenley Rose; and siblings, Brenda Stephens of Troy, and Tammy Pannett, Todd Williams, Shelley Gregory, Debby Poehlein, and Tabitha Brown all of Tell City.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Michael Kahler; brother, David Kahler; and stepmother, Patricia Kahler.
Funeral Services will be at 7:00pm on Friday February 16, 2024, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Fr. Kolbe Wolniakowski officiating.
Visitation will be from 2:00pm until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
