Nancy Cassidy Obituary

Nancy Carol (Beatty) Cassidy, lovingly known as “Mamaw” and “Mimi” passed away peacefully, surrounded by her devoted family on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the age of 76.

Born at her family home in Falls of Rough, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Clovis and Mattie (Smiley) Beatty. She was united in marriage to James E. Cassidy on July 18, 1970, and they shared 52 wonderful years together before his passing in August 2022.

Nancy graduated from South Spencer High School in 1967 and went on to attend Oakland City University. She began her career in banking with Citizens National Bank before pursuing her passion for music as the founder of Tunesmith Entertainment. For over 24 years, she dedicated herself to helping both local and regional artists establish themselves in the music industry. Nancy was also a proud member of the CMA, the Troy Community Board, and the Eastern Star.

Nancy had a passion for songwriting and music, and she enjoyed golfing and playing the guitar. She treasured time spent with friends, especially during her luncheons. Above all, Nancy dearly loved her family, with a special devotion to her grandchildren and then her great-grandchildren. She also cherished the companionship of her beloved dog, Antnee.

Reunited with her beloved Troy boy, Nancy leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories that will live on in all who knew her.

Survivors include her children, Krista Boehman and her husband Scott of Lamar, IN, James E. Cassidy II and his wife Kelly of Evanston, IN, and Tammy Wilkerson and her husband Dustin of Santa Claus, IN; siblings, Charles (Belinda) Beatty of Hatfield and Joyce (Stan) Hoss of Grandview; 12 grandchildren, Emmit (Lori) Baker, Ryan Baker, Julie Boehman, Bryan (Zariah) Scherer, Cassidy (Liz) Luecke, Carly Cassidy, Katelyn Cassidy, Josh (Cory) Boehman, Kamie (Matt) Frederick, Austin (Chynna) Wilkerson, Kyla Wilkerson and Kaleb Wilkerson; 8 great grandchildren, Beckham, Kyrion, Isaac, Alayna, Jaxon, Oliver, Melody, and Aurora; along with several nieces and nephews.
