Nancy Wheeler 83, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at her home in Tell City, IN.
Born in Tell City, on October 16, 1939, the daughter of the late William and Opal (Epple) Wheeler. Nancy was retired from Masterbrand Cabinets. She was a huge Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed watching all sports. She enjoyed a variety of music including her favorite, Elvis Presley. Nancy enjoyed feeding the squirrels, going fishing, playing cards, spending holidays with her family, eating at Julie's Tell Street Cafe, but most importantly spending time with her grand kids and her dog Cocoa.
Nancy is survived by her three daughters, Julie Bennett (Steve), Sandy Ballman (Paul), and Chris Dauby (Jim), all of Tell City; sisters, Martha Heeke (Frank) of Evanston and Linda Aders of Tell City; her seven grandchildren, Danielle Kirtley (Steve), Jeremy Bennett (Laura), Brooke Bennett (Jason), Samantha Jay (Nick), Jessica Breau (Michael), Jordan Homa (Matt), and Tyler Dauby (Harper); and seven great-grandchildren, Kendall, Will, Drew, Sidney, Avery, Myles, and Theo.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Bonnie Sandage.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm and Wednesday, April 19, from 8:30 am until service time at the funeral home.
