Nelson Reynolds Obituary

Nelson “Leroy” Reynolds, 80, of St. Marks, passed away on Tuesday May 14, 2024, at Ascensions St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN.

 

He was born in St. Marks, on May 23, 1943, to the late Nelson and Muriel (Hawhee) Reynolds.

 

Leroy served in the United States National Guard. He was a lifetime farmer and worked at Tell City Chair Company until their closure. Afterwards he worked several odd jobs before retiring. He was a member of the American Legion Post 213 and the Southern Indiana Horseman's Club. He liked to go to auctions to add to his collection of Allis-Chalmers equipment. He enjoyed farming and his horses.

 

He is survived by a brother, Dennis Reynolds of St. Marks and his sisters, Nancy Hall of Tollesboro, KY, and Patsy Howe of Rockport, along with several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents Leroy was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Reynolds.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Friday May 17, 2024, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 3pm to 7pm on Thursday, May 16, 2024, and from 12pm until service time on Friday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Southern Indiana Horseman's Club.
