Olive “Ollie” K. Sabelhaus, 93, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024, at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born August 16, 1931, to the late Ernest and Emma (Naviaux) Rogier.
Olive was united in marriage on August 31, 1969, to Joseph V. Sabelhaus. They were married for 45 years before his passing in 2015. Joe and Ollie were the owners and operators of the Alpine House for many years. Olive was also a hairdresser and had worked for General Electric. She was a member of the VFW Post 2939, and enjoyed gardening, quilting, and playing euchre.
Surviving is her daughter, Kathy VanHoosier (Dan) of Tell City; sisters, Frieda Kessans of Cannelton, and Rita Kessans of Tell City; two granddaughters, Amy Stephens (Bobby) and Tracy Stephens; and one great grandson, Camden Bell.
In addition to her parents and husband, Olive was preceded in death by three sisters, Edith Huebschman, Hazel Wallace, and Anna Miller; and a brother, Clarence Rogier.
Private services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery.
