Patricia Mulzer Jones, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 26th, she was 90 years old.
She was born on November 26, 1934, daughter of Martin and Marie (Wheatley) Kress.
Pat was a graduate of Tell City High School. She was a stay-at-home mom and then went on to work as an LPN for 5 years of her life. After marrying her second husband Pat moved to a farm in KY where she enjoyed canning, working in her garden and helping around the farm. She was a great cook & loved family get-togethers.
Pat was a very kind & loving person. She was a peacemaker and a very devout Catholic, instilling in her children & grandchildren that faith should guide their lives. Pat lived at Little Sisters of the Poor the past 10 yrs where she attended daily mass and lived a quiet life dedicated to prayer. She loved to read, especially the bible and said a rosary every day. Pat loved her faith and her family, both of which were her life. She adored her grandchildren, and they adored her.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her first husband, Omer Mulzer and her second husband, Nelson Jones.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Cathy Zimmerman, Karen Miller (Jerry), and Kimberly Duckworth; grandchildren, Brianne Zimmerman (Josh), Ryan Zimmerman (Nicole), Kari Colter, Brandon Taylor (Jacque), Aaron Duckworth, Andy Duckworth (Kristen), Adam Duckworth, Amanda Holder (Chris); great-grandchildren, Kylen Cooper, Kyra Colter, Kambre Colter, Hadley Duckworth, Hannah Duckworth, Brantley Zimmerman, Austin Litherland, Ethan Backs, Hayden Holder, Warren Holder; great-great- granddaughter, Pasleigh Cooper.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Fr. Ted Temple for his friendship and care during Pat's time at Little Sisters of the Poor & Heart-to-Heart Hospice (especially Heidi) for their gentle and loving care the last 5 days of Pat's life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 10:00am at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City, IN, with burial to follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Fr. Chris Forler will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00am until Mass at the church.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Heart-to-Heart Hospice, EWTN, or St. Paul's Catholic Church for masses in honor of Pat.
