Patricia Ann “Patsy” Baur McDowell, 70, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Brickyard Healthcare in Tell City, Indiana.
She was born on April 2, 1955, in Hawesville, Kentucky, to the late Sam and Emma (Lott) Thrasher.
Patsy worked at Golden Living Center for over 25 years and was also a phlebotomist at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed NASCAR—especially watching Dale Earnhardt Jr.—listening to country music, and thoroughly loved her “main man,” Toby Keith. Patsy was also an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats. Above all, her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her children, Brian Harding (Amy N.) and Amy R. Harding, both of Tell City; sisters, Ada Gilmore of Tell City, Martha (Ivo) Burch of Whitesville, Kentucky, and Shirley (Larry) Jarboe of Tell City; grandchildren, Denny Harding (Lydiah), Krystal Aldridge (Chase), Samantha Renfrow (Hallie), Samuel Harding (Jayla), Michael Harding, Marissa Harding, Brian Harding Jr., and Noah Harding, all of Tell City; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas “Kip” McDowell; brothers, Russell and Larry Thrasher; a sister, Mary Shelton; and half siblings, Charles, Billy, Alfred, Gladys, and Betty.
Per Patsy’s request, there will be no services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
