Randy was born on August 19, 1958, in Clinton, Indiana, to his parents, the late Charles F. and Yolanda Lucille (Ruatto) Roccia. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Rickey Roccia.
Randy was a 1976 graduate of Chesterton High School in Indiana. Following graduation, he went on to graduate from Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music.
On August 15, 1981, Randy married the love of his life, Rachel Hawkins. Randy retired from the Tell City-Troy Township School Corporation, where he dedicated many years as a Music Teacher. He was a proud member of the Barbershop Harmony Society and member of the Louisville Thoroughbred and New Horizon Barbershop Choruses. He also served as a longtime member and Director of the church choir at Tell City First United Methodist Church.
Randy was a dedicated Eagle Scout and faithfully served as the Assistant Scout Master of Troop #192. He was an avid Yankees fan, rarely seen out without proudly wearing one of their hats, and he also enjoyed golfing in his spare time. Randy was also proud to be the Kettle Coordinator for the Salvation Army for Perry County for many years.
Above all, Randy cherished the time he spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Rachel Roccia; his son, Joseph (Sheena) Roccia of Evansville; his daughter, Sarah (Jeff) McBride of Peru, Indiana; his grandchildren, Nickolas McNair, Derek Roccia, Isabel Roccia, Abigail Roccia, Evelyn McBride, and Rosalie McBride; his siblings, Tina Hudson and Lia Schlinger, both of Valparaiso, and George (Debbie) Roccia of Columbus; his sister-in-law, Sheila Roccia of Nashville, Indiana; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Tell City. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
