Revilla Hinton

Revilla Hinton, 85, of Tell City, IN, passed away on Tuesday September 10, 2024, at Todd Dickey Nursing and Rehab Center in Leavenworth, IN.

Revilla June Foster was born on June 22, 1939, in Bristow IN, to Elvis and Olga (Gerwin) Foster. She was confirmed June 8, 1952, at Grace Lutheran Church in Bristow and was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tell City. She was united in marriage to Robert Wesley Hinton, Sr. on April 14, 1956, and together they shared 33 years before his passing in 1990.

Ms. Hinton was employed at Commercial Filters (Parker Hannifan) for 36 years prior to retiring in July 2001. Her favorite past time was quilting, garage sales, traveling, assisting in church events, and spending time with her children and grandchildren, of which she was very proud.

She is survived by her children, Robert Wesley Hinton Jr. (Betty), of Tell City, Sherry Sparks (Gary) of Quincy, IL, Debra Bailey (Wayne) of Krypton, KY, and Cindy Crowley (Tony) of Leavenworth, IN; grandchildren, Michael Wesley Hinton, William Robert Hinton, Jamie Louise (Hinton) Boyer, Jessica Lynn (Hinton) Schultz, Justin Neal Hinton, Benjamin Lorin Bailey, Sarah Elizabeth (Bailey) Thornton, Bethany Brooke (Bailey) Williams, Rebecca June (Brandt) Carson, and Natalie Carol (Crowley) Larkins; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Revilla was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Wesley Hinton Sr., son, Jeffrey Hinton, brother, Raymond J. Foster, and a granddaughter, Lisa Marie Sparks.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Rusert officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8:30am until service time at the funeral home.
