Richard D. Brunson, Sr., 90, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at his home in Tell City.
He was born on July 1, 1930 in Fairmont, IL the son of the late Clarence E. and Ellen Nora (Wengler) Brunson. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force and married Lillian Glenn on October 8, 1976 who preceded him in death. Richard was retired truck driver from Royal Crown Cola and Mulzer Crushed Stone and was a member of Community of Christ Church. He volunteered at Branchville Correction Center for AA.
He enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, travel and his yard and rose bushes.
Survivors include his children, Richard D, Brunson, Jr of Georgia, Doris (Donald) Lasher of Bristow, IN, Earl (Martha) Miller of Tell City, IN, Linda Miller of Branchville, IN, Connie (Ronnie) Hagman of Tell City, IN, Betty (Karl) Herzog of Branchville, IN, Jerry (Brandi) Smith of Tell City, IN, Neal (Becky) Smith of Huntingburg, IN, sisters, Jean Davis and Rosemary Potter, 21 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents and his wife is a grandchild, 2 great grandchildren, and siblings, Betty M Brazelton, Ruth Hanson and Clarence E. Brunson.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Saturday February 20, 2021 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Elder Earl Miller officiating with entombment in Conner Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00am to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
