Richard Butler

Richard "Ricky" Allen Butler, 49, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at his home.

Born in Owensboro, Kentucky, on September 7, 1973, he was the son of Joseph Butler Sr. and the late Marie (McFarling) Butler. Ricky enjoyed helping people and obtained a certificate in social work. He was a great mechanic and has loved to fix things and help his dad around the garage since he was a small boy. If it was broken, he could fix it. He also loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Surviving him is his father Joseph Butler Sr., his significant other Lisa Peter; his children, Zach Butler, Joey Butler, Kassi Peter, and Zach Peter; his siblings, Mary Jo (Tim) Carter, Brenda Gayle (Mathew) Terry, Debbie Butler, and Joe (Faith) Butler Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.

Richard is preceded in death by his mother Marie (McFarling) Butler.

At his request, there will be no services. Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.

A celebration of life will be held on October 1, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. At the fellowship hall of the Nazarene Church.
