Richard A. Snyder

Richard Allen Snyder, 79, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, TN.

He was born October 18, 1944, to the late Dallas and Eva (Kendall) Snider in Cannelton, Indiana.

After Rick graduated from Cannelton High School in 1962, he joined the United States Air Force. On April 23,1966, Rick was united in marriage to Linda “Sue” Snyder, and they shared 54 wonderful years together before her passing in 2020. He enjoyed hummingbirds, dogs, IU basketball and gardening and he loved being with his family.

He is survived by a son, Rich (Kim) Snyder of Jasper, IN; daughter, Stacy (Darren) Cox of Athens, TN; a sister Karen; 3 grandchildren, Stephen, Mathew and Jared “JJ”; and a great grandson, Connor.

In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his wife Linda “Sue”, and his siblings, Jackie Snider and and Eddie Krieg.

A private graveside service with military rites was held in Troy City Cemetery.
