Rita Adkins

Rita Adkins, 61, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Brickyard Health Care in Tell City.

She was born in Tell City, IN, on September 18, 1964, to the late Bob Fulkerson and Janice (Lamkin) Kipp.
 

Rita worked for the Prichard Fire Department where she was a firefighter, a member of the EMS team, and was on the auxiliary board. She enjoyed playing video games on her phone like Farmville and the SIMS. Rita was a very family-oriented mom who loved her children with her whole heart but adored her grandchildren the most.

Surviving are her children, Jason Gunter, Mitchell Lutz, Daniel Branam (Alicia), Steven Branam, and Cathy Adkins (Paul Brunty); her brother, Steven Lutz; 13 grandchildren, Elijah, Zayden, Braiden, Taylor, Chase, Colton, Nathaniel, Pedro, Skyley, Ashlyn, Bryndlynn. Maylee, and Kolter; along with many cousins and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Rita went to heaven to be with her dog “Babies”.
 

Per Rita's request there will be no services. Burial will take place in St. Isidore Cemetery at a later date.
