Rita (Simon) Karney, 94, passed away September 25, 2016 at 11:20 AM.
She was born April 15, 1922 in Tell City, Indiana to Victor Simon and Nora (Baur) Simon.
She was married to Russell Karney on December 9, 1939. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1992.
Surviving is her daughter, Rickey (Phil) Faucett of Tell City, Indiana and son, Ron (Sandra) Karney of Crown Point, Indiana. There are 4 grandchildren: Greg Faucett, Amy Mundy, Don Karney and Brian Karney. and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her sister Mary Ball.
She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and retired from General Electric after 33 years.
Funeral Services will be at 11 AM, Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Zoercher Gillick Funeral Home with burial following at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 AM to 11 AM, Wednesday, September 28 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
