Robert "Bob" Litherland, Sr.

Robert L. “Bob” Litherland, Sr., 90, passed away April 14, 2020 at Oakwood Health Campus.

Born December 8, 1929 in Tell City, he was the son of the late Vernon and Emma Mosby Litherland

He married Clara A. Sabelhaus on June 12, 1949 and retired from General Electric in 1990 as a production Engineer.

Bob enjoyed woodworking, camping, traveling the U.S. And wintering in Florida.

Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Harpenau of Tell City; his sons Robert “Bob” (Jill) Litherland, Jr. of Lewisport, KY, Dale (Cheryl) Litherland of Brooks, KY; a sister, Edna Pedigo of Frankfort, IN; brothers, Merrill (Lee) Litherland of Tell City and George (Barbara) Litherland of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Scott (Reyne) Harpenau of Tell City, Jenny (Jerry) Puertzer of Evanston, IN, Sara (Scott) Welsh of Paris, KY, Leah (Phillip) Ball of Cannelton, IN, Nick (Staci) Litherland of Tell City, IN, Meg (Tim) Washington of New Albany, IN, Jacob Litherland of Brooks, KY, Matthew (Meggan) Beard of Bullitt County, KY, Nicole (John) Coleman, Chesapeake, VA, Isaac (Chelsey) Turner of Merritt Island, FL, Tony Ferraro of Tell City and 19 great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his wife, Clara Litherland, is a grandson, Jason Harpenau a grand daughter, Stacie Ferraro, a great grand daughter, Ella Ferraro, a son-in-law, Stan Harpenau and a brother, Ralph and his wife Dorothy Litherland.

The family would like to send their appreciation and thanks to all the health care providers who cared for Bob in his time of need.

Due to current state mandates, services will be private with burial in St. Mary Cemetery.
