Robert "Bob" Tuggle

Robert A. “Bob” Tuggle, 83, passed away Sunday December 12, 2021 at St Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN.

Robert (Bob) was born in Troy, Indiana to Clara (née Linne) and Floyd Luddy Tuggle. He was raised beside his siblings Marian, Carolyn, Donald, Jack, Floyd Lee, and Pat.

Bob spent his entire life in Troy and was very proud of that fact. He married Joanne (Roos) of Dale in 1961. Bob and Joanne welcomed four boys: Bob (Hotsie), Mike, John, and Joe. After running Tuggle’s Market in Troy, Bob and Joanne started a nursery at their home on the Ohio River, Tuggle’s Nursery. Their flowers, trees, and vegetables were beloved by people all around the tri-state.

Bob will be missed dearly by his sons Bob (Molly) Tuggle of Troy, IN and John Tuggle of Evanston, IN, his granddaughter Claire (Nick) Durchholz of Boonville, IN, his brother Jack Tuggle of Troy, IN, his great-grandchildren Nora Joanne and Calvin Jack Durchholz of Boonville, IN, and his dear friend Carolyn who has provided him with so much joy and love. Bob also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bob is preceded in death by many loved ones, including his parents, wife Joanne, his sons Mike and Joe, grandsons Jack and Charlie and his siblings Donald, Floyd Lee, Pat, Carolyn Snyder and Marian Schultise .

Services will be 11:00am Wednesday December 15, 2021 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Troy, IN.

Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm Tuesday and from 9:00am to service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
