Ronald Conner, 85, of Tell City, Ind., passed away on June 2, 2022 at Oakwood Health Campus.
He was born in Tell City on November 5, 1936 to the late Joe and Edna (Pippin) Conner. Ron is a Christian. Ron served in the U.S. Army and retired from ALCOA. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid Cardinals and Indiana Hoosier fan. When he was younger, Ron loved to fish, he was a beagle enthusiast and rabbit hunter.
Besides his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife of more than 50 years, Sharon Dickman Conner, as well as brothers, Marvin and Walter Conner. He is survived by 4 children and spouses: Greg (Tia) Conner of Knoxville, Tennessee, Rhonda (Don) Corley of Tell City, Christi Carie of Fordsville, Kentucky and Shari (Dan) Embry of Cannelton. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, Clay Champion, Jared Embry, Mindy Spring, Lori Childs, Sam Conner, Ron Carie, John Carie, Bryce Thomas, Keith Thomas and Melissa Thomas along with 13 great grandchildren.
A celebration-of-life service will be held beginning at 1:00pm Monday, June 6, 2022 at Zoercher-Gillick followed by graveside services with VFW military rights at Greenwood Cemetery in Tell City.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00pm, Sunday and from 11:00 to 1:00 on Monday at the Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank the staff at Oakwood Health and Heart-to-Heart Hospice for their tender care of Ron and his family over the past weeks.
