Rosemary Flamion, 68, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on March 12, 2023.
She was born on January 30, 1955, in Tell City, IN, to the late Leo Gilbert and Virginia (Strassell) Lutgring.
Rosemary graduated from Perry Central High School in 1973. She attended Vincennes University graduating in 1975.
She was united in marriage to David Flamion on October 22, 1977. They shared 45 wonderful years together.
Rosemary was an active member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church and Relay for Life for several years. She was a Boy Scout Committee Leader for Troop 191, and a 4H committee member. She worked for the Chamber of Commerce, Zoercher Insurance, Home Mutual Insurance, and Branchville Correctional Facility from where she retired in 2018.
Rosemary had several hobbies, sewing, cross stitching, traveling, and baking her award-winning cookies. Her favorite hobby was scrapbooking with her scrapbook friends and their many adventures. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, David; two sons, Philip (Beth) Flamion of Columbus, IN, and Jonathan Flamion of Tell City; two grandchildren, Amelia and Levi Flamion; sisters, Velinda (Wayne) Simon of Evanston, IN; Martha (Scott) Beyke of Owensboro, KY; brothers, Leo (Sharon) Lutgring of Jeffersonville, IN, Pat Lutgring of Tell City, and James (Carmie) Lutgring of Tell City; sister-in-law, Cindy Ewing Lutgring of Newburgh, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Rosemary is preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Lutgring and her niece/godchild, Melissa Simon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at St. Marks Catholic Church with Fr. Brian Esarey officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marks Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2pm to 8pm on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, and from 9am until 10:15am on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
