Roy Kunard

Roy A. Kunard, 87, passed away November 1, 2023, at Maple Manor Christian Home in Sellersburg, IN.

Born May 5, 1936, in Derby, IN, he was the son of the late Frank L. and Emma (Taylor) Kunard.

He was a 1954 graduate of Tell City High School. Roy was united in marriage to Beulah “Marie” Rhoades, on November 27, 1958.

Roy was retired from Swiss Plywood and enjoyed woodworking, watching TV and playing games.

Survivors include his daughter, Laura (Mark) Thomas of Cannelton, IN; his son Doug (Hope) Kunard of Sellersburg, IN; 5 grandchildren, Amber (Trent) Wheatley, Derek (Fani) Kunard, Drew Kunard, Brayden Kunard and Bryce Kunard; and great-granddaughter June Wheatley.

In addition to his parents, and his wife Marie, he was preceded in death by a daughter Donna Sue and his brother, Wesley, in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Brown officiating. Burial will be in Lilly Dale Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, November 3, 2023, and from 9:00 am to service time Saturday at the funeral home.
