Roy H. Minder

Roy Harrison Minder, 66, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, after a lengthy illness at his home in Tell City, IN.

Born in East Chicago, Indiana, he was the son of the late David S. and Ruby A. (Cooper) Minder. He was united in marriage to Ellen Sue Braden on August 30, 1975. Roy worked for the Wilbert Vault Company in Gary, IN for 30 years. He enjoyed grilling out, flowers, gardening, and just nature in general. Roy loved the holidays especially Christmas and he especially loved spending time with his family and friends. 

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Ellen Sue Minder; 3 sisters, Barbara Marcus, Margaret “Bunny” Arthur and husband Kendall, and Darlene Minder Smith and husband Larry; 1 brother, Jerry Minder and wife Annie; 1 sister-in-law, Bonnie Malley and husband Don; his very special friends Ben Barger and wife Jordan and many nieces and nephews who all loved him very much.

Roy is preceded in death by sisters, Betty Jo Casey and Carolyn Sue Graham and a brother David E. Minder.

There will be a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
